Krasnodar, September 7 – Yug Times. The Krasnodar region has reportedly been included into the list of potential participants of a new federal program.
The program aimed at improvement of labour productivity was discussed last week at a session of the presidium of the Presidential Council on strategic development and priority projects chaired by Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev.
In his speech, Mr. Medvedev noted that labour productivity in Russia is two times lower than in the OECD countries. To improve the situation, Russian regions will have to develop its own programs aimed at improvement of labour efficiency and support of employment.
Speaking at the session, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said that the region has applied for participation in the program presenting companies engaged in imports substitution and expansion of domestically produced food products and construction materials.
